MELODIES BY TCHAIKOVSKY Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s music is unmatched in lush beauty and brilliance. You’ll love this program of symphonic and operatic works that captures the spirit of dance as only Tchaikovsky can: Symphony No. 3, dominated by dance music and his only symphony written in a major key… and Polonaise and Waltz from his deeply moving lyric opera Eugene Onegin. In addition, the winner of their 70th annual solo competition for teen musicians, Julian Rhee, will perform the third movement of Brahms' Violin Concerto; Julian is a high school junior from Brookfield, Wisconsin, who has won many prestigious competitions for young violinists.
Presented at Hinsdale Central High School, 55th & Grant Streets, Hinsdale, Illinois 60521
